The Blackburn Society celebrates friends who have included FCS in their estate plans. Gifts to the Blackburn Society follow in the spirit of Eliza E. Blackburn ’22, the beloved faculty member who left her estate in the care of the Board of Trustees and enabled the purchase of the Lower School Campus in 1990.

Friends’ Central has established the Blackburn Society to recognize alumni and friends who have made estate plans, life-income arrangements, and life insurance plans that include FCS. The importance of these future gifts in support of Friends’ Central cannot be underestimated because they will provide the endowment backbone needed to ensure that FCS remains a vibrant, Quaker, N-12 school for years to come.

Many loyal FCS alumni, parents, and friends have chosen to become members of the Blackburn Society and have received the satisfaction of knowing that their future gifts will benefit in perpetuity deserving young people seeking an FCS education. Membership in the Blackburn Society provides an opportunity for FCS to thank generous individuals during their lifetimes who have chosen to give back to FCS through a deferred gift.

All persons who notify the School that their estate plans include Friends’ Central become members of the Blackburn Society in recognition of their important future support. Share your plans with FCS through this confidential form to assist in the School's record-keeping and future administration of your gift. If you would like to learn more about membership in the Blackburn Society or would like information about an estate gift to FCS, please call or ask your legal counsel to contact the Development office at 610-645-5039 or e-mail Colette Kleitz at ckleitz@friendscentral.org.
